Johanna Taylor Libbey
Johanna holds a Bachelor’s of Music from Wheaton Conservatory with an emphasis in violin pedagogy (Violin pedagogy focuses on how to most effectively teach private lessons.). Her senior recital included violin and viola, both of which she loves to play, perform, and teach. She’s been teaching private lessons for over 10 years. She taught private lessons and led multiple levels of orchestra for four years in Germany at an International School in the Black Forest.
She values finding fun and creative ways to deal with student mistakes and help students overcome challenges.
When Johanna isn’t teaching you can find her playing with the Burlington Civic Symphony Orchestra, the Green Mountain Mahler Festival, and at weddings/events. She’s also performed and recorded a variety of non-classical genres including bluegrass, folk, Indie, and singer/songwriter. You can also find her outside paddle boarding, hiking, skiing or traveling.
